Johnny is joining the venture as head of operations and Tim, who founded Student Roost, is CEO.
Despite having ambitions to become one of the top five operators of UK rental homes in the next five years, the platform currently has no name.
In October 2025 it received a £500m investment from AustralianSuper, Australia’s biggest pension fund.

Johnny brings over 12 years of real estate experience. Prior to Greystar, he was interim managing director at Student Roost after it was acquired by the firm in 2022.
“Our focus is on creating a market leading living platform that is grounded in a commitment to high-quality customer service,” said Tim.
“There is a clear market opportunity to create a brand that people want to stay with throughout each stage of the rental cycle.
“Johnny’s track record in driving customer experience and culture will be a key part of achieving that.”
